We made PUNCH because the social internet broke.
Five apps, five algorithms, five sets of rules nobody can read. Your reach is decided by people you'll never meet, based on signals you're not allowed to see. You post something that matters to you — about your community, your work, your country, what's happening in the world — and the post quietly dies. You don't get told why. You're not breaking any rule you can find. The number just doesn't go up. That's not a feed. That's a leash.
PUNCH is the alternative.
One place. Post photos, post video, message your friends, go live, build your community, share to other platforms when you want to. Not five apps screaming at each other on your home screen.
Your messages are yours. Encrypted DMs. Not “we promise not to look” — we can't look. The math doesn't let us. If a court asks us for your messages, we have nothing to hand over.
No shadow bans. If a post is removed, you'll know. If your account is restricted, you'll know why and you can appeal. Our moderation policy is public, written in plain language, and the only things it removes are the things that have to be removed for the platform to legally exist: content that targets children, content that doxxes or directly threatens real people, content that's illegal in the country it's posted from. That's it. We don't quietly throttle you because someone didn't like your opinion on a war.
The algorithm is yours to tune, or turn off. You can read it. You can see what signals matter. You can switch to pure chronological if you want. We will never optimize for outrage, because outrage is not what people came here for.
Creators get paid the right way. If you stream, build an audience, sell to your community — we give you the tools and take a small cut. If you're just here to post and connect with people you care about, you'll never see a payment screen.
We're not anti-anything. We're not “the free speech app.” We're not “the anti-Meta app.” We're a place built on the assumption that adults can decide what to share and who to listen to, that privacy is the default and not a premium feature, and that the algorithm should serve the user, not the owner.
Equality across backgrounds is the floor, not the ceiling. Every faith, every politics, every culture, every language — you get the same reach, the same protection, the same dignity. We will defend that line, in both directions, against any pressure to bend it.
This is PUNCH. Punch through the noise. Punch through the algorithm. Punch your way back to the people who matter.
